ABBRACCIO

I was born in 1973 in Poland, the daughter of professional photographers. From an early age, my interest was directed towards art. You could see my works drawn directly on the walls of my parents' house as well as sculptures made of mud from the garden and installations all over the house. From those funny episodes, my passion for art grew.
In 1995 I moved permanently to Italy, where I have been living ever since.Italy, which is an extraordinary country from an artistic point of view, motivated me even more and I gradually broadened my passion towards other horizons. Since then, the desire to make art always took over, resulting in the desire and need to change. I therefore tried to experiment with other artistic techniques. My research involves different artistic expressions: photography, graphics, installations, painting and sculpture through the use of materials such as stone, clay and wood. Until.... Lo and behold, I discovered that I am an arsonist.
Over time, in fact, my uncontrollable desire to roast anything and everything was born, as well as the uncontrollable desire to extend my thoughts to the outside world, so that they could be visible to everyone. Joking aside... Actually, I just burn my thoughts on pieces of wood, cork and paper. My interests focus in particular on a very ancient art dating back to prehistoric times, little known in Italy: Pyrography, a form of graphic expression that uses a red-hot point to 'paint with fire'. Since then I have decided to exhibit my work elsewhere, throughout Italy and abroad.
Initially, my favourite genre was the 'chiaro-scuro' on which I focused more, the works belonged to a more classical and representative style, dedicated to the contemplation of the animal world. In these works, I testify to my enthusiasm for the world around me, inviting respect for the beautiful creatures that share the planet with us. Lately, I have been getting closer to figurative art, surrealism and other artistic currents, combining my pyrography with matter, but never abandoning painting, sculpture and drawing.
I have participated in several exhibitions.
I am currently involved in the Pyrography Workshop.
