Born in the very center of Paris, I spent my first 29 years on the charming place Furstenberg, opposite the studio of the painter Delacroix. From this district soaked in all the arts, I have kept, I think, a taste for what is beautiful, original and speaks to the heart. Now I've grown old, but I still hold deep inside me that five-branch lamp post with globes (not lanterns, as they have them now) and the smell of those beautiful paulownia flowers that perfumed the air in the spring.
