Been born in Valencia, in a family of artists (musical, painters and writers), soon it presented/displayed aptitudes for the drawing and the painting. Jose' Amérigo formed artistic in the factory of D., professor of the School of Beautiful Arts of Valencia where he intensely studied the perspective and the geometric analysis of the reality and their decomposition in buckets, spheres and cones, according to the conceptualización of Cézanne of that the Amérigo teacher was a fervent follower. Also in this factory he made an immersion in teoria of the color: the teacher forced the students to make the colors with mixed natural pigments with the aglutinantes: oil of linseed, wax, látex, etc. In addition, it insisted on the use of the pure cromatismo like vehicle of abundant plastic expression in the use of the complementary ones like search of an aesthetic harmony, and always taking like reference to the teacher of the light, the Valencian Sorolla. When younger it already participated in diverse contests of young painting obtaining prizes and mentions with his landscapes, specially of towns of Valencia, the Valencian gardens of the Breeding grounds, bodegones of study, etc. However, the superior studies were in Pedagogía, by familiar vocation, and in Psychology by professional interest. Attracted by the political events, in 1968 it traveled to Paris where I take advantage of the trip studies to know directly the impresionist teachers to whom it copied intensely, to Renoir specially, Go Gogh and Gauguin, as well as to Matisse and the fauvistas, copies of study that made so much in oil as in waxes. By professional interest, between 1969 and 1972 it resided in Santo Domingo (Dominican Republic), tie to the Department of Sciences of the Education of the National University Pedro Henriquez Ureña of the Dominican capital. During its stay in Quisqueya, indigenous denomination of the Dominican island, impregnated of the light and colorful the tropical ones of the Caribbean. Evoking to Gauguin, to that had copied intensely in Paris, it unfolded a expresionista and fauvista creative line, increasing in his painting an alive and primary cromatismo. Its pictorial production of the Dominican stage is characterized by a deepening in the tropical cromatismo. It was pledged by the landscapes of Jarabacoa and San Pedro de Macorís, by the handle fields, by the conucos and bohios, the coconut palms of Bocachica, by the expresivas and clean glances of the inhabitants of the wood houses of the district of Matahambre or the districts populated on red waters of the Ozama, by alegria and the vital rate of the "tainos". Still today, some want to find reminiscencias of "merengue" in the gestualidad of their painting. Dedicated to teaching, it gave classes of drawing and History of the Art in diverse private schools.
