Biography
Long at the service of computer graphics and photoengraving companies, multimedia tools, I never lost sight of that my real ambition was to live on my brushes, my poscas and my old rotring filled with Indian ink.
I exploit my dreams of characters surrounded by the wonders of nature, animal or plant.
I think of my images with a child's imagination.
My passion for my country of heart, BRITTANY, is the common thread of my illustrations.

14h à 16h : Démonstration de Parkour avec Moral Soul

Chauvin has developed an approach to representation that is pleasing and very pretty. I have been observing this kind of art over the course of decades and believe it deserves its own genre as a type of "Women's Art", (by which I mean art that expresses the too long overlooked art of women based on their experience and sensibilities in a world that has been too much dominated by males, i.e., 'a feminist art'.) This style of art appears to focus on an idealized sense of beauty in an idealized world, an aspirational expression seen often in the art of females and seldom in the art of males.
This body of work is an outstanding example of this, as I see it, having evaluated many hundreds of different artist's images as a co-host of "Art Show", a now disbanded Disqus sponsored art display and review site that closed with 300K members from every continent, (except Antarctica).
This particular artist's work has great decorative value, but takes an extra step as a revelation of feminine perspectives and ambitions that I believe make it an "Important" style in our global civilization. The development of the character's faces and the extensive supporting design work show that Chauvin is bringing exceptional skill and focused vision to her creations. While there are naïve elements, it seems clear to me that these are choices the artist is making, not the limits of her creative potential. I believe collectors, decorators and other artists are making a great mistake by adhering to archaic male concepts of what art is, ignoring this and other ground-breaking developments in the future of Art.
