L'artiste peintre français contemporain Gilbert Goy est né à pont de chéruy dans le département de l' Isère en 1944.Il se souvient de sa première rencontre avec la peinture sur toile Maman avait un collègue de travail qui était aussi un peintre autodidacte dont les tableaux m'ont, très jeune, fasciné. Cet homme allait, devenir mon maître et mon pygmalion.
A 11 ans il prend en cachette un sac de pomme de terre qu'il enduit de blanc de zinc. Le sac était devenu toile... et il se lance alors dans l'aventure artistique.
Quelques années plus tard, il participe à une exposition de peinture organisée par l'Amicale des peintres de sa commune.
Il reçoit un prix d'encouragement. D'autres expositions suivent avec des récompenses.
Son activité Professionnelle lui a permis de voyager et de ramener des images et des couleurs que je retrouve dans ses tableaux
