André Goinaud is a French painter, born in 1950 in a village in Lot et Garonne. From a young age, he was attracted to drawing and painting, taking art painting and architectural drawing classes during his schooling.

His artistic journey led him to deepen his skills by taking art drawing lessons in a private school in Surgères in 1969/70. There he learned the trade of decorative painting, specializing in techniques such as painted advertising with attribute, imitation, trompe l'oeil, advertising poster, and many other aspects of drawing and painting in decoration and advertising.

During his military service, which lasted 8 months, he devoted himself to the study and creation of reproductions of works by Toulouse-Lautrec, with particular emphasis on the Moulin Rouge poster.

André worked as a decorative and advertising painter for 30 years, carrying out restoration projects in castles and mansions, renovating existing decorations, creating imitations and original decorations.

Even though his career took him away from painting for 25 years, he always maintained a keen interest in art, artists and artistic techniques. Upon retirement, he decided to return to his first passion, painting, and continue what he started over 50 years ago.

André Goinaud is passionate about painting in general, with a particular love for impressionism. He is driven by a philosophy of life imbued with respect for others and his environment, approaching Buddhism in his approach to life.

At the age of 69, he resumed in-depth studies of the great painters of the 18th and 19th centuries, drawing on his own materials, books and online resources. In 2019, he became a member of Couleurs d'Aquitaine and participated in a collective exhibition in Casteljaloux for the regional final of this artistic association.

His work entitled "Interior of a wagon", produced with the participation of Didier Crochat, is permanently exhibited at the Museum of Resistance and Deportation in Pau, an activity approved by the Rectorate of the Academy of Bordeaux. André Goinaud has also participated in other exhibitions and artistic competitions over the years, pursuing his artistic commitment with passion.
