Self-taught, I learnt drawing and painting techniques by myself, in an almost instinctive way. I’ve always been drawing on all materials I could find since my earliest childhood, illustrating all my textbooks at school.

Human nature has always been my preference. I however decided to keep going forward by drawing and painting characters from afar and from the back, then I decided to get them closer by zooming them in and bluring the surroundings. Few years ago, I finally turned the characters around and found interest in their facial expressions and features.

If I’ve always been influenced by Viennese painters such as Gustave Klimt and Egon Schiele from the beginning of the 20th century, while also being moved by Caravaggio and Berthe Morisot, among other artists such as Marc Chagall and Gérard Garouste, who both add an enchanting and fantastic touches to their canvas.

My paintings often revolve around women figures, giving priority to the feature that speaks to me the most: the eyes.

Painting helps me to unwind and most of the time I’m not even sure what what the outcome of a sketch will be. I usually paint what I like, people I’ve always admired; Marie Curie or Umm Kulthum among others.

Photography is also something that I enjoy, taking pictures of people who call myself to mind. I mostly sketch women portraits in the metro or cafés in Paris, which can later turn into paintings.

I have learnt to tame space and do quick sketches when attending Françoise Frugier’s sculpture workshop in Paris, a workshop that turned out to be really beneficial to me.

My skills have evolved tremendously since I've been oil painting for a long time. Since I work quite fast, acrylic painting turned out to be a more convenient technique for me. I mix together several methods by adding Indian ink, walnut stain, oil pastel and charcoal to my works.
