Biography
Let go…
Find the gesture, the color, the oily matter, constantly moving on the horizontal canvas. Just to hide the extreme difficulty in finding the point of balance between rigor and letting go.
Painting without design (without drawing), finding the tightrope thread stretched from the first gesture on the white canvas to my signature that I I hesitate to pose since it will close the time of the painting.
Looking at the blank canvas, for a long time, hours of inaction, indecision, between apathy and meditation. Let the silence create the first gesture, and let go. Hours, days, nights. Forget time to master the space of the canvas. Provoking ruptures, creative destruction. Surprise me, surprise me. And then, at the end of the race, the last touches, more and more spaced out over the hours, until silence returns, before signing.
Finally resuming the humble gesture of the craftsman, cleaning the tools, the brushes , the palette. Clearing the way for the next day, having forgotten everything, sometimes erased everything.
The relationship between the painter and his canvas is special, passionate, almost amorous.
The love of transparency, fluidity, beauty oil paint.
