Emiliano Stella was born in Avellino in 1978. He graduated from the school of fine arts in Naples - painting program taught by Gianni Pisani.
In 2002 the magazine “Arte Mondadori” included him among the first fifty emerging artists in Italy.
In 2005 he participated in the video exhibit named “Out of Control” organised at the Stazione Leopolda, Fondazione Fabbrica Europa per le Arti Contemporanee, in Florence.
Between 2006 and 2007 he took part in the collateral exhibition of Venice Biennale organised in cooperation with Philippe Daverio. In an exclusive way with the gallery AlArteContemporanea, he participated in the following exhibits in 2006: “Catania Arte Fiera”, “ArtVerona 2006”, “Arte Padova 2006” as well as in the group exhibit “Human@rt”.
Between 2006 and 2007, he also took part in the travelling group exhibit “A3”, a documentary on visual street arts showed at the Not Gallery in Naples, at the Bologna Arte Fiera and at the MIART.
His very first personal exhibit was organized by Marcello Carriero in 2006 at the Studio Fontaine in Viterbo.
In 2010 and 2011 he participated at the Acquire Art Gallery in London in the two international group exhibit organized by Plasticine Art Factory: “The Dream Machine. Chapter one: Diary of a DNA” and “Star(T)Dust”. In 2011, he exhibited at the IV Biennale Giovani Artisti Campani “A regola d’arte” and at the 54th International Art Exhibition of the Venice Biennale, edited Vittorio Sgarbi.
In 2013, he was protagonist of a solo exhibition at the Complesso Monumentale Ex Carcere Borbonico of Avellino. Solo show. The even was sponsored by Sovrintendenza per i Beni Architettonici e Paesaggistici for the towns of Salerno and Avellino. In 2015 he took part to common gallery held in the Diocesano Museum in Naples. The central theme of this exhibition, entitled “Il Popolo di San Gennaro” (Saint Gennaro’s People), a sort of imaginative dialogue between religion and figurative art. The entire exhibition was by Alfonso Russo, Alessandra Monda, Franco Lista. In 2016 his work becomes part of the permanent exhibition in the historical building of Banco di Napoli Foundation in the heart of Naples.
