Biography
Design studies in the Bauhaus school in Germany, and Beaux Arts in France
ViVy Currier takes ceramic classes at the university of Boulder, Colorado, USA. while being assistant for Betty Woodman, she follows independent studies in ceramics at the university of Boulder. she has a grant for a ceramic project from the French Culture ministry. Her coloured figuratives clay créations are handbuild.
She always has been involved with drawing: and creates big scale figuratives drawings, paintings and what she calls her "picture poems".
Her work is a quest for depth, transparency and light, looking towards a renewal of the pittura di luce

Artist's approach
In the artistic field, there is a great deal of unconsciousness. Artistic work is neither more nor less than the path of a life, so, telling oneself along the way is not only incomplete, but only an approach that is always incomplete.
The common quest of artists, through lucidity, clairvoyance, or supra sensibility, is that of trying to abolish through the work the suffering and to see beyond, the beauty of this world and of humanity.
It is a need to create and to transcend ... ..
If I express myself tending towards what I believe is beauty to my senses, my heart and my soul, it is because I am convinced that only beauty is in harmony with the world.
Beauty begets beauty when guided by spirituality. The history of every human being is of the utmost importance in the history of mankind, for we are all unique and connected in our humanity.
Is not all that smoke? (Ref AT). Is not man an eternal slave of himself, if he is not free to guide himself spiritually?
I have turned to a world where I can exist, the one who leaves to perceive a great beauty, perfumes which penetrate the senses, which attract in the depth of being and leave a taste of happiness,
I found other souls looking in that direction. More and more souls! It is a call, a glimmer that attracts and stirs up.
My work is guided by this faith and this desire for communion: hope appears, love emerges ... ..
To offer ones work to enlighten a life, and being able to give a smile on a face, is an accomplishment.
The Name of the Artist who is my guide, is on my lips, at my fingertips and pencil and I prefer to draw what He inspires me.

After studies in Design in Kassel, in Germany, Beaux Arts in France, ViVy Currier is initiated to ceramics in the United States. During this stay, She obtains a scholarship of the French Culture ministry.En 1989, employed in an assistantship by Betty Woodman, she is following independent studies at the university of Boulder, Colorado (the USA).
