My name is Alessandra Tabarrani and I was born in Pisa “some years ago”. In my early years I moved to Turin and now I live in a small town called Pianezza, about 14 Km far from the Piedmontese capital.

I approached painting only ten years ago but according to who reviewed my works “a small seed of artistic inspiration had been laying inside me for a long time”.

I have been working for 30 years with my husband and then I decided it was time for something else. I attended some painting lessons by a lucky chance and it was then when I started painting.

The first time I bought brushes and colours is still imprinted in my memory with emotion. Everything was new for me, but I truly believe I felt a strong energy and great passion since the very beginning.

Colours for me were LIFE. Yellow, red, green, blue, orange, lilac…and all colours tones of my painting board: they made me dream. In this way I understood with great surprise that thanks to colours I could express my feelings. In front of my canvas an enchanted world always opens to me.

After this first steps I wanted to go deep in this new passion, attending lessons from an excellent young artist, Milena Casale, who right from the beginning could understand me and help me to get to know important technical knowledge.

My initial inspiration was the great impressionist Claude Monet, and later my personal style has blossomed. Through it and colours I can express all the love for life I have.

The first admirer and great support has been my husband Renato who, together with my three wonderful daughters, have always been my personal reviewers.

I believe I still have lots of things to learn and even more to express in my works.
In these few lines I have tried to put into words a bit of my life and emotions, with the hope that through my paintings a little part of my soul could reach everyone.

CRICTICS

The world of Alessandra Tabarrani’s artistic view is always absorbed in a silent romantic atmosphere where the brush tells about her gentle soul through the elegance found in compositions like “Colori di primavera” (Colours of spring) and “La dolcezza del romanticismo” (The sweetness of the romanticism). Both works have a great impact, and from them also the artist’s technical ability rise.
The artist’s painting research goes always towards her inside to make her creative self arise and where all her female spirituality is reflected. Being a woman before an artist she wishes to donate herself through intense colours and outstanding beauty of flowers and objects filled with attractive emotion. Staring at her works everyone is caught by their poetic charm. Even the most common object (like a chair can be) in her compositions talks about the most intimate feeling of the artist.
