Hyperboloid is a beautiful word, but for me, a person who is far from any geometric calculations, it’s a mysterious phenomenon: everyone speaks of it as a miracle, it looks magical, but its purpose is unclear. Hyperboloid is a beautiful word, but for me, a person who is far from any geometric calculations, it’s a mysterious phenomenon: everyone speaks of it as a miracle, it looks magical, but its purpose is unclear. In Moscow, a huge hyperboloid is still alive - the Shukhov Tower. Alive, but crumbling before our eyes. My friends said that the bolts are falling from the tower, the structure is rusting, there are some problems with restoring - as always - and somebody even said that they want to dismantle the whole thing. But it’s still possible to sit by the window and drink wine, looking at this engineering miracle of the last century.

I have loved drawing since childhood. I drew on the walls at home, in school notebooks, comics for university newspaper, postcards for my friends and illustrations for the books I had read. And suddenly I realised that it is the only thing I really like to do.

I come up with plots for my paintings naturally. All I need is just to sit down and think. What do I want to talk about today? Maybe about how cold the northern moon shines or about the usual breakfast and dreams of a good day? Everything is so simple and clear, and probably, that is why many of those who become my customers recognize themselves in my paintings, recognize their home, their world. And it is very pleasant!
