I' am a self-taught painter and I was born in Bordeaux, France.

I graduated in Economics and did not attend any art school. However, when growing up I’ve always had a strong attraction towards any form of art, especially towards watercolour painting.

I currently live in Italy but I’m still influenced by the French artistic culture, which is why more than 25 years ago I started painting on silk.

Because I’ve always lived in the countryside, my major inspiration is nature. Recently, I’ve also been realizing portraits on silk, always combining people with natural elements.

I use many different silk painting techniques. I always start from the pure white silk stretched on my canvas, and I use special French dyes that penetrate the silk. After the painting is finished, I place it in a professional steamer for several hours. This process gives the silk luminosity and makes the colours vibrant and vivid.

I'm in love with this long and complex painting technique, because of the extreme delicacy and brightness of the silk and the vividness of colours.

Through my works I want to convey a sense of ease, serenity and joy. This is why my major sources of inspiration are children and flowers.

Every sensitive person will feel immediately touched by the beauty, purity, naivety and strength represented in my artworks.

With my art I aim to make people smile even during the darkest moments in life.

I want to give the opportunity to look at the future through the hopeful eyes of a child or through the blossoming of a stunning flower.
