Annie Roudet is a contemporary award-winning French painter. For years she has been exploring mixed techniques in order to develop "classic" style, towards a more "modern and contemporary" style.
Roudet started with watercolor, with whom she evokes an impressionism, transparencies, and gradations. Her watercolors have an evocative power, an unusual realism in the usual expression of watercolor. On the other side, the texture of pastel allows her to play on an infinity of shades. She's been using acrylics for a few years now, moving from landscape, still life, portrait and nude, from figurative to contemporary, from life or photos.
Annie Roudet was born in 1946, in France, where she graduated from the Beaux-Arts de Toulouse. She was the Professor of Fine Arts from 1971 to 2007.
