Anna Dada is an Italian self-taught painter, born in Taranto in 1959. She proves her passion for painting since an early age thanks to her mother who also shared the same interest. Her mother was also a self-taught painter, she was in love with the shapes and the coulours that she try to catch on her canvas.
Anna Dada's first few works are the result of hours of technique acquired in High School, initially focusing on charcoal drawing. In this period the subjects of her works were often still nature, faces and Mediterranean landscapes.
The Impressionist movement of free speech and creativity has always inspired her since this period.
Years later, she met with a famous Tarantino artist that led Anna Dada to experiment oil painting and discover the freshness, transparency and spontaneity of the watercolour technique. And this is how on the paper's rough surface she started to paint her hometown landscapes. She is closely linked to the natural and paceful scenery of her beloved Apulia. Sea, sandy beaches and extensive olive groves are the panoramas in which the artist immerses herself to get inspiration for her paintings.
