Watercolor painting “City of Trento. Italy ”was drawn from life during my plein air cycling trip across Italy in 2019, in the very beautiful Italian city of Trento, surrounded on all sides by the Alps. It was here that my first stop in Italy was when I was traveling by bus from Berlin to Milan. I was immediately very inspired by this plot, but I drew it from life at the very end of an almost 3-month journey, having traveled halfway across Italy. I painted this picture and a couple of hours later a bus arrived, into which I loaded my bicycle with my things and drove back to Berlin. Thus, this story remained in my heart the first and last impression of the wonderful Italy. The work was painting by professional Italian Maimeri watercolors on 100% cotton paper with a density of 300 grams, which will give the picture durability.

Watercolor

Watercolor is a painting in which gum arabic binds transparent pigments revealing the support of the painting. The gouache, of identical composition, is opaque. A watercolor is a water-based painting on paper. We rarely speak of a painting for a work painted in watercolor.
