Biography
André-Marc Serrano was born in 1963 and grew up in Haute Savoie.

It is instinctively that this artist baptized himself thus. And for good reason, his painting techniques prove to be active, not to say explosive.
He gives importance to his funds, his supports sometimes tortured or very structured are strong in substance.
He paints in layers and successive bursts.
He researches and dares to combine materials that are not always compatible for textured and deep effects. Its backgrounds are in themselves an abstract construction.
The colors then impose themselves, explode on the canvas, the subject takes shape in a more consensual way.
The figurative unites with the abstract.
Lately, he has dedicated his art to the polar bear.

J'ai eu la chance de voir cette œuvre dans votre galerie à Annecy il y a quelques jours et d'échanger avec vous... encore sous le charme de votre travail et de vos ours polaires !
J'ai pu découvrir avec grand plaisir les œuvres de cet artiste très sympathique qui exposait à Paris cette semaine. Sa manière de peindre, alliant le gros plan visuel aux détails proprement picturaux, la gestuelle à la matière, témoigne d'une réelle maîtrise de son art.
