Anca Sandu
I've been studying fine art for over 10 years. At first I wasn't sure about the way I've chosen, but what was first just a hobby became a way of life.
The years that passed strengthen my belief and my vision. Eventhough I don't have yet a certain style (I still have so much to learn...), all of my artworks are dominated by well definite principles. One of them is the ethnical- the spiritual fundamentals seen just sometimes, the one that upholds the aesthetic values that are materialized in artworks.
Also, the meaning of the ethnical becomes precise as this values are materialzed.
Another principle that I've learned from my teacher, Dragos Patrascu, one of the greatest artists in Romania, is the importance of the public. The viewers are the one that make the difference between a good artwork and a masterpiece. A good artwork equalizes an individual, and depends of time, space and determination. A masterpiece is beyond all. It's a species. It lives in different individuals, in men consciousness that have seen and felt it.
The quality of a masterpice is given by the different interpretations and deformations made by the conscience that contemplates it.
In conclusions, I intend to create artworks that could have a real impact on the viewer. Only an artwork capable to "obsess" people for a couple of days after seeing it, is capable to become a masterpice.
