Ana-Maria Panaitescu, a contemporary Romanian artist, is known for her minimalist approach, preferring to use as few visual elements as possible while maximizing the transmission of depth and meaning in her work.
In 1999, Ana-Maria earned her Master's degree from the University of Arts in Bucharest (UNARTE), building upon her earlier academic achievement of a Bachelor's degree in Art from the same institution in 1997. She became a member of the Uniunea Artistilor Plastici (UAP), the Romanian artists' union, in 1997, solidifying her presence in the artistic community.
As a versatile artist, Ana-Maria Panaitescu is self-employed, engaging in various creative roles such as painter, graphic artist, illustrator, photographer, and colorist in Adobe Photoshop for websites. Her talent extends to scenography, where she contributes as an artist at UNATC (The Romanian University for Film and Theater).
Her artistic journey has been marked by both individual and group exhibitions in galleries affiliated with the UAP, as well as other galleries across Romania and Europe. Ana-Maria's works, including paintings, collages, and photographs, grace private collections in Europe and the United States, attesting to the international appeal of her art.
Notably, two of Ana-Maria's artworks are showcased at MAMCO Pavel Susara, adding to her list of achievements. In addition to her artistic endeavors, she has co-authored a Visual Arts Manual for 9th grade, published by Teora Press in Bucharest, contributing to art education.
