Alfonso Segovia is a talented creative and imaginative artist. He has been writing, painting, andcreating sculptures since he was a child. Segovia's reputation as writer, painter and sculptorgrew stronger among his art teachers and fellow students at school in his natalBarranquilla, Colombia. Segovia studied Social Communications and Journalism at theUniversidad Autónoma del Caribe, and worked for Diario La Libertad and wrote some articlesfor Diario El Caribe in his natal city until he graduated. Segovia then moved to Chicago wherehe continued working on his writing, painting, and sculpting. His passion for art has enabledhim to utilize color and form to illustrate his universal world of reality and fantasy. Segovia’spaintings and sculptures carry the magic of his fiction and non-fiction writings that project hisendless dreaming soul. Segovia has presented his paintings and sculptures on local andnational television, at his place of business, restaurants, and shows. Segovia was also aprofessional nail technician in the USA, making a living out of it. *YES! He painted art and builtsculptures on nails in Chicago, winning all mayor competitions at a local and national level,which took him to the Hall of Fame by a well known global Nail Magazine. Because of theartist’s theme winning sculptures, he was nicknamed: ‘The Jungle Man.’
