Born in 1970 in La Celle-Saint-Cloud near Paris, Alexander Poppy of early influences in art by his father through photographs and listening to the music of jazz.
Alexander began receiving art lessons at the age of 8 years at the drawing workshop at La Celle-Saint-Cloud, a large sculpture by Parisian sculptor, and film with influences from the movies before and post-war.
In 1990 he began his long apprenticeship to EPDI, ESAM, the Art Deco. More than 6 years past and in recent years, he began to feel the need to meddle in the professional fashion, advertising, music and other forms of art to make special effects for movies . This period of self strengthens its personality.
In 2001 he exhibited at the gallery Burgener in Geneva. Since that time, Alexander realized he will always be the artist with self-portraits series of highly stylized nudes. With an approach to artistic expression without taboo, while using all the techniques used and tested so far, Poppy Alexander has absorbed during his meetings and travel, a strong desire to vibrate the collector who is a spectator faithful screen format performed.
A form of poetry is suggested by certain works, poetry expressed by the art of brush or photograph or the film, if not able to express it through writing. "The pictorial style of my work reflects each chapter of my life."
