Alain FERET est né à Nancy . Après des études de peinture et de restauration de tableaux à l'École de Restauration de Chateaurenard, il part travailler en Italie, puis aux États-Unis.

De retour en France, Alain Feret, qui a installé son atelier à Avignon, développe son travail personnel, notamment vers de nouveaux supports : Plexiglas, altuglas, résine synthétique, aluminium...

Compositeur de couleurs et de lumières, Alain Feret présente des installations, dont l'élaboration conjugue une haute technicité héritée de sa formation initiale de restaurateur de tableaux avec une volonté de faire jouer les matières.

Il s'amuse des contrastes et bouleverse les codes habituels en recourant parfois à une autre énergie créative, l'électricité, sous la forme de néons ou de leds, ou des écrans vidéos intégrés. Pour l'artiste, la création n'existe pas sans le regard de l'autre.

Son oeuvre laisse donc aux matériaux le soin de converser avec l'intimité du regard. À chaque regard la liberté d'y apposer ses propres mots.

La grammaire se construit alors sur la lumière, la matière et la couleur. Il est coté à Drouot.

Il crée un spectacle tout public sur l'histoire de la peinture en 2015 le Môm'Art, joué au festival off d'Avignon.

Alain Feret was born in Nancy . Upon graduating Chateaurenard Restoration School, where he studied painting restoration for 4 years, he left France to first work in Italy and then the USA.

After returning to France, Alain began to develop his personal work in his Avignon studio using new material: plexiglas, synthetic resin and aluminium.

Composing with colours and lights, Alain arranges installations which combine high technique inherited from his restoration training with his will to combine materials to make them interact with each other.

Alain plays with contrasts and turns the usual standards upside down, sometimes using electricity as an additional creative energy source adding neon, LED lights or video screens to his pieces.

For this artist, creation cannot exist without the eye of others, therefore his work allows materials to interact with the intimacy of the eye of each of his spectator./

Each person is free to interpret it in his own thoughts with light, materials and colours as a base. Alain Feret is listed at Drouot.
