Ako Wilson, whose real name is Abdoul Karim Ouédraogo, was born in 1976 in Ouahigouya, Burkina Faso. At 40, this artist is the author of a prolific work, using various materials (oil, acrylic, sand, coffee, etc.) in creations in various styles, sometimes close to comics, or more abstract.

Ako paints tirelessly. His brush in hand, he loses track of time. He paints and depicts what touches him, surrounds him: life, love... Especially love...

"Through my works, I talk about love in general, that which is the basis of all life. Without this love, nothing is possible. The Love between a mother and her son, The Love between a man and a woman The Love of painting »

« Burkina, this country so diverse, is my first subject of inspiration. Ochre, the color of my land, this land with which I paint is my testimony. But I do not limit myself to this single vision of work. My works, full of passion, of colors speak of me but also of others, certainly a little of you. »

« Through my multiple influences, I navigate between my origins, with my street scenes in naive style, my scenes of life highlighted by pigments and other sands and coffees, and my Western inspirations , that of Kandinsky in particular. »
