Nach seinem Marketing-Studium, absolvierte Adriano Cuencas mehrere Ausbildungen im Bereich Webentwicklung und graphische Gestaltung. Digitale Kunst und Internet-Projekte waren schon immer seine Leidenschaft. Als er eine Website für einen brasilianischen Künstler entwickelte, entdeckte er die wunderschöne Welt der Kunst für sich. Seit Jahren vertritt er in Europa und in Brasilien internationale Künstler. Er verbringt auch viel Zeit in seinem eigenen Atelier, wo er faszinierende Collagen kreiert. Er führt zudem eine Online-Kunstgalerie.
Seine Motive sind meistens Ikonen, die sich mit Erinnerungen an unsere Kindheit
und Jugend verbinden und positive Energien freisetzen.
Seine einzigartige Stilrichtung findet ihren ungewöhnlichen Ausdruck in Bildern, die
nicht nur Film- und Rockstars wie Marilyn Monroe, Audrey Hepburn, James Dean,
Elvis Presley oder Jimi Hendrix zu neuem Leben erwecken, sondern auch
faszinierende Comics und Superhelden. Dabei sind seine Werke nicht nur als
Hommage an die Pop Art zu verstehen, die Geschichten aus vergangenen Tagen
mit starken Helden und Diven erzählt, sondern auch als moderne Kunst, die viel
Raum für eigene Erinnerungen und Inspiration lässt.
Für seine Pop-Collagen nutzt Adriano Cuencas Ausschnitte aus alten Plakaten
und Poster. Er verwendet auch Spray, Glitter, Acrylfarben, Steine, Pailletten,
Metal Cuts und Stoff, um seine Werke zu veredeln. Souverän klebt, sprüht
und veredelt er seine Motive zu spannenden Kompositionen.
Die Oberfläche ist immer mit Epoxy-Lackschichten versiegelt, welche dem
Kunstwerk einen frischen „Hochglanz-Effekt“ verleiht. Dabei geben die
unregelmässigen Formen interessante Umrisslinien vor, die seine Kunstwerke
zu tollen Wanddekorationen machen. Seine Kompositionen hängen in
Privatsammlungen in der Schweiz, in Frankreich, Deutschland, Italien, USA,
Singapur und Brasilien.
Adriano Cuencas lebt seit 1998 in der Schweiz, ist verheiratet und hat drei Kinder.
