The artist was born on January 28, 1962, in Arad, Romania. He studied at the Art Institute "Nicolae Grigorescu" in Bucharest, where he worked with Professors Paul Vasilescu, Vasile Gorduz, and Mircea Spataru until 1991. He visited Austria during that summer and decided to stay in that country. He obtained his diploma two years later.

The professional experience he gained while working as a stonemason for the "Carpati" company, the numerous restauring jobs done in Austria, and since 1998 the almost daily work with forms, volumes and different materials for the company "Art for Art Theaterservice Vienna"  – all this is for Adrian Uncrut a source of inspiration for his own art.

Adrian Uncrut is one of the founding members of "Puntea", a group of Romanian artists living in Vienna, and he participated in numerous exhibits and art symposia (Galerie Kandinsky Vienna, Alte Schiebbekammer Wien, Institutul Cultural Roman Viena, Schloss Gloggnitz, WUK Wien, Galerie Time Vienna, Teatrul Pygmalion Viena, Eggenburg, Grimming etc).

Following the exhibit "Paradise Lost", shown 2008 in the Austrian town of Eggenburg, he became part of a group of scuptors managed by Moritz Schröder.

Some of the sculptor’s works are to be found in private collections and in public spaces in Austria, Romania, USA, and Germany.
