This is a very large painting of the South of France along the Cote De Azure. The shimmering blue sea and the small group of houses make this an enchanting view. The sea is clear and the sun is shining. This is all framed by the wild magenta flowers. I did some sketches and finished the painting in my studio. The light in the South of France was a favourite of the French impressionists. I can see why as it enhanced the vivid colours of the sea and vegetation. This painting is on a deep edge canvas and doesn't need framing. It is a very large landscape.

Clements is inspired by the world around her, principally the city and its architecture. Her travels to New York and the south of France, with their brilliant light and colors, influenced her greatly. She is also inspired by her hometown of London and its historic and iconic buildings. Clements enjoys the creative freedom of still lifes as well, as she is able to create a composition and control the shapes and colors

National success

Clements has exhibited widely across the UK, notably at the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition and at the Mall Galleries with the Society of Women Artists and the Pastel Society. She was a finalist for Artist of the Year with Artist & Illustrator Magazine, and was awarded a residency at the Agora Gallery in New York City
