This view inspired me to paint this scene. It was in a back street in New York and the car door was open. I pondered why, there was an air of mystery about it. A lone figure is walking across the road added to the feeling of isolation. The buildings are half in shadow also giving a feeling of stillness. So I captured this in photographs a moment in time and painted it back in my studio. I can send it rolled up in a tube if wanted .
