Sie absolvierte ihren Diplomabschluss in den Fachbereichen Bühnenkostüm und Bühnenbild an der Universität der Künste Berlin (UdK) im Jahr 1999 und setzte ihr Studium an der Hochschule für Grafik und Buchkunst Leipzig (HGB) fort.

Der "Kunst verkaufen Achtzig Podcast" und die Kunstgalerie Berlin Achtzig gehören der Podcasterin Diana Achtzig. Seit 1990 verfolgt Achtzig ihre internationale Ausstellungstätigkeit und präsentierte ihre Kunst in privaten Kunstgalerien, Kunstmessen und öffentlichen Institutionen.

Achtzig kooperierte weltweit mit Galerien konnte Achtzig in Amsterdam, New York, Texas, Rom, Mailand, Salzburg und Hamburg. Dazu zählen u.a. die Galerie Bottega Barone (Berlin), Alessandro Abadetto Gallery (Berlin, Mailand) und Galerie erstererster (Berlin). Bis zum heutigen Tag ist sie in knapp 50 weltweiten Kunstsammlungen vertreten.

1990 gründete Achtzig ihre erste Kunstgalerie in Amsterdam, mit der sie 2009 nach Mitte in die Brunnenstraße umzog, die bis zum heutigen Tag unter der Kunstgalerie Berlin Achtzig besteht. Seit 2003 ist Achtzig als freie Dozentin tätig z.B. an der UdK Berlin und HTW Berlin. 2015 gründete Achtzig ihre eigene Achtzig Kunstakademie Berlin.
