Er wird auch von der Galerie Agora in New York vertreten.
René Roesers Fotografien erscheinen auf den ersten Blick als Kombinationen aus Gebäuden, Menschen und Alltagsgegenständen, also dem Alltag; Doch auf den zweiten Blick wird diese scheinbare Vertrautheit ad absurdum geführt.
Beeinflusst von surrealistischen Malern platziert er mit seiner Kamera kleine Objekte (wie eine Sanduhr oder Metallobjekte wie Schneebälle) im natürlichen Raum, um eine neue und ungewöhnliche Situation zu schaffen.
Diese konzeptuellen Fotografien erscheinen als überraschende und kluge Konstellationen, auf die wir zunächst mit einem Lächeln reagieren und dann versuchen, die Bedeutung der dargestellten Objekte zu erläutern.
