David Kunzli is a contemporary French artist. His technique was born during months-long treks in the Himalayas and tours throughout Asia. From Buddhism's round faces to the most sharp of the eastern worlds, a questioning that leads him to the essence.
David Kunzli's artwork challenges our capacity for introspection. A lovely examination of human nature, painted on a plain, unpolished canvas with lovely Nepalese paper and wood. He skillfully combines the Renaissance's grisaille drawings with the asceticism of oriental painting.
