Moments Caught is a collection of small-format oil landscapes that capture fleeting sensations — the kind of moments that pass before you can fully name them. Each piece, whether in 20×15 cm or 15×15 cm format, is created entirely with a palette knife, using quick, intuitive gestures that preserve the raw emotional immediacy of the scene.
These are not studies or preparatory sketches, but finished works — visual memories distilled into compact, expressive forms. The square format introduces a quiet stillness and symmetry, while the rectangular pieces often suggest movement or direction. Together, they form a rhythmic visual journal of changing skies, shifting light, and transient beauty.

Daria Zavadenko creates expressive landscapes that capture not just places, but sensations — the smell of grass, the movement of wind, the rhythm of light and sky. Her work is rooted in emotion rather than realism, using bold palette knife strokes, vibrant colors, and a strong sense of atmosphere.
Forms are intentionally loose and symbolic, inviting the viewer into a world that is both familiar and dreamlike. These are not depictions — they are responses. Quick, intuitive, and honest.
