Daniel Nassoy découvre la photographie en réalisant des clichés de Paris en argentique noir et blanc et en développant lui-même ses photos. L’architecture des villes est un de ses thèmes favoris, en particulier la nuit traitée en couleur ou en noir et blanc.
La trajectoire de « photo’graphiste » de Daniel NASSOY a commencé par la création avec des moyens très simples – quelques lumières, une tenture noire – d’un petit théâtre nocturne où il explore les corps nus masculins. De nombreux modèles se prêtent à ce jeu fantasmatique, où l’objectif tend un miroir aux désirs et aux rêves de chacun.
Mais bientôt une nouvelle série – a-PARIS-tions – vient libérer ces corps (et le photographe) de leur cocon d’intimité. C’est dans l’espace d’un véritable décor, tantôt réel tantôt réinventé, que Daniel NASSOY déploie ses nus, au terme d’un travail de projection poétique où la magie photo’graphiste donne sa pleine mesure. Depuis 2014 il travaille sur une série plus engagée « Cartes du corps » pour soutenirle combat contre l’homophobie et le rejet et la condamnation des personnes lgbtqi+ (lesbiennes, gay, bi, transgenre, queer, intersexe).
Depuis 2018 il est sensibilisé encore d’avantage au devenir de la planète et entame une nouvelle série : « Hommes Nature ». Au travers de photos prises en extérieur dans différentes régions de France et de créations digitales à partir de ces photos prise dans la nature et de nu masculin en studio, il réalise un plaidoyer en faveur de la protection de l’homme et de la nature. Il est depuis quelques années photograveur et graveur.
En septembre 2022 il quitte Paris pour s’installer à Arles.
