Celine Masson is a contemporary French painter based in Thailand. She has a profound and genuine appreciation for the natural beauty of Asia's people and culture. Masson’s paintings present a lighthearted perspective of how Asian women could be portrayed. Her latest collection draws inspiration from Asian female faces juxtaposed with the sexualisation of women in Asian society.
Before painting, each canvas is covered with original Japanese erotic manga cartoons. The paintings depict first and foremost the strength and beauty of women portrayed against a subtle background of vintage erotic imagery. Each painting is playful with strong, bold colors that bring each image to life.
