Catalina Silva collects stuff in the magazines, searches the family photos in her archives, bodies that confront her for her posture, her gesture, the contrast of the image, that immerse her in a place of no time where she begins to recognize her own experience, where she deepens the elemental and primitive relationships of her body. For her, nude and silence are the same place of contained emotion, the landscape at times, as an astonishing event. Her works are raw, gaunt, imperfect, the last lights at dawn. She is a painter, watercolorist and lithographer, lives in Valparaíso. She inevitably coexists with that light that seems to come from the sea, the wind, the storm.
