In this painting, Camille Tagini, contemporary multidisciplinary artist whose artworks are selected into the exclusive collections by art experts, wished to paint her inner struggles, opposing her desire to flee ever further and her forced rooting in the Paris region. From this tug-of-war between a distressing here and a saving elsewhere springs a brushstroke enlivened as much by the shades of luminous blue-green as by the sincerity of the gesture which draws on abstraction.
The artist-painter gives an account on the canvas of a sensation taken on the spot, of the brutality of his feeling. The abstraction is then put at the service of a research of the entirety of the emotion and of a retranscription as close as possible to the sensations of his mental confusion.
By delivering us a concentration of his subjective reality and a stenography of his sensations, Camille Tagini violently sends the spectator back to life and reminds us, more than ever, that art has a cathartic effect.
