The Georgian feast is always a unity of traditions, positive emotions, kindness and respect.
Having decided to paint a picture on the theme of the Georgian feast, I realized that I must definitely pay tribute to the memory of probably the best representative of naive art, the Georgian artist Niko Pirosmani.
He's one of my favorite artists. His paintings are fantastic, and, importantly, phenomenally professional and brilliant.
As a result, his work "Feast with the organ grinder Datiko Zemel" became part of my still life, which is a "painting within a painting".
By painting "Feast" I wanted not only to convey the uniqueness of Georgian culture, but also to attract the attention of art lovers who are unfamiliar with the work of the great self-taught artist.
Oh, Niko, Niko! You wrote feasts so often, and died of hunger and poverty…
