Bas Van Der Bie is a passionate photographer who started his career in the 80s using analog photography. At that time, he mainly specialized in portrait photography.
Today he mainly uses digital photography, but he still retains his love for analog and continues to use his Hasselblad for portrait photography.
He also has extensive experience in sports photography, especially in Dakar and Silkway rallies. At first he worked with the Dakar press team, then he created his own team called Condor Media. The Dakar took place in South America, Argentina, Chile, Peru, Bolivia and Paraguay, from 2009 to 2019. With Condor Media, Bas Van Der Bie also photographed the Silkway rally, which took place held in Russia, Kazakhstan and China.
Besides his rapid photography, Bas is also interested in 19th century printing techniques such as carbon printing, gum printing and cyanotype. Her work is a testament to her passion for photography, creativity and the constant exploration of new challenges.
