Hello ! I am Ayesha Jilkar. Journey from IT professional to an artist was an adventure.

Never thought I would become an artist. I remember those days when my sister use to do fabric painting and I would make fun of her and run away saying I have no patience I like to do things faster and for sure painting is a slow process and needs lot of patience. Who knew I would sit at one place for hours and still love it 😊

My Art Journey started after marriage when we moved to Dubai for work. Not knowing how to pass the time I tried to learn many things but Painting was the thing which got my interest. I started to learn more about it, which lead me to DUCTAC (Dubai Community Theatre & Arts Centre) in 2010 were I started to work with oil as medium and started of my journey with realistic art.  Later I explore the other mediums like acrylic, watercolors, soft pastels, charcoal and graphite but my favorite still being Oil. I like to do still-life and sculpture painting

Art to me is meditation and stress buster. It is a time where I am completely immersed among beautiful colors, and the happiness I get when I see my painting coming alive is indescribable.

Painting is not just my passion but also an outlet for me to express myself.

I started exhibiting my work from August 2019 and it has been a great learning and experience to show my art to the work.
