Depuis 2010, Emmanuel Bouvet a exploré une vaste part du champ des possibles dans l’expression plastique, en défendant des artistes d’horizons culturels et formels divers. En présentant des artistes aussi divers qu’Aurelio Fort, issu de l’Arte Povera, Albert Palma, dont le travail s’articule au- tour de la pratique du Shintaïdô japonais, ou Alain Blondel, évoluant, lui, aux confins d’Art & Langage, la Galerie 24b. s’est construite non pas selon des coïncidences de formes, mais en défendant une véritable famille de pensée, rassemblant des questionnements plus profondément humains encore que ceux établis par une quelconque idée d’Ecole, de doctrine : ceux des liens entre les peuples, ceux de notre place dans le monde.Cette construction d’un langage commun autour des modes d’existence de la nature humaine est issue d’une première impulsion, née lors de la première version de la Galerie, alors centrée sur l’art iranien et aborigène contemporains. Ces deux moments dans l’histoire du lieu sont tout à fait imbriqués l’un dans l’autre, car ils relèvent d’un même questionnement esthétique, concentré à la fois sur les liens entre langage abstrait et figuratif, mais aussi sur le croisement des supports et des media utilisés. Cet éclectisme revendiqué défend l’idée d’un mondialisme éclairé, refusant les modes d’expression uniques et promouvant les transgressions interdisciplinaires.
