For me, art is always an open door for a dialogue with a viewer. Moreover, it's an invitation to join a creative act because I believe an interpretation of an artwork is as important as its creation. What at first glance seems to be just an abstraction then begins to evoke certain feelings, emotions, and associations. I create lines and color transitions in at attempt to pull viewers in like a whirlwind. So, finally, each viewer has a personal interpretation of an abstraction that differs from others.
The quick-drying process is important to express a creative impulse fully, so I choose acrylic paints. I often combine delicate light "watercolor" shades with dark ones. These contrasting colors in my works render the polyphony of every aspect of life. After all, there is no absolute light, no absolute darkness. In our life, everything is mixed up to one degree or another.
