Through his photography, Andriy Solovyov skillfully portrays the interaction between people and their surroundings, showcasing the ordinary moments that make up our lives. The artist's attention to detail and composition brings a sense of authenticity to the scene, inviting viewers to immerse themselves in the narrative unfolding on the Yalta embankment. As raindrops fall and pedestrians move about, the image captures a fleeting moment in time, frozen in a frame for us to contemplate and appreciate.
The choice of sepia tones and grain in the photograph adds a nostalgic quality, reminiscent of classic imagery that transcends time. This artistic decision enhances the mood of the scene, lending it a timeless appeal that resonates with viewers. By focusing on the everyday activities of individuals in a rainy urban setting, Andriy Solovyov invites us to reflect on the beauty and complexity of ordinary life, urging us to find meaning and significance in the seemingly mundane.
Overall, the artwork of people walking along the Yalta embankment in rainy weather stands as a testament to the artist's keen observation, technical skill, and artistic vision. It encourages us to see the world around us with fresh eyes, to appreciate the nuances of our environment, and to find beauty in the simplest of moments captured through the lens of a camera.
İlgili temalar
I am interested in different categories of abstraction, as well as people and nature — my favorite themes. In my earlier work, I used film cameras, but now I prefer digital ones. Recently, I choose digital cameras for their high image detail.
I enjoy showing the extraordinary in the ordinary. Light and shadow create an amazingly elegant, ephemeral beauty in the surrounding world and a subtle simplicity in the image.
In most of my photographs, I shoot documentarily, but the only change in this process occurs when I work on the computer to make the final edits for printing. It is here that I allow myself greater freedom in how the photograph will ultimately look. I enjoy photographing in series.
