I was born in the USSR in a small seaside town where the surrounding atmosphere inspired creativity from a very early age. Pencil and plasticine became my friends even before I took my first step. At the beginning of my journey in arts, I studied  jewelry under a master of the art in the city of Rostov-on-Don. This opened up new horizons in exploring materials and forms for me. But the art of jewelry did not captivate me completely and soon I became an independent artist who finds sheer happiness by merely expressing himself.

I like to work with a variety of materials although the favorites are bronze, stone and wood. The combination of these materials allows me to fill an artwork with a special atmosphere of movement. Unique natural stones mined in the North Caucasus have amazing texture and color. They are not just components of my works, they serve as a source of inspiration helping me to create sculptures that reflect my inner world.

The heritage of my native land is of no less significance. Sarmats, Cossacks, their culture and traditions have become an important part of my creative search. I draw inspiration from their history, customs, and spiritual depth.

My creative path has been greatly influenced by the artist Herluf Bidstrup and the sculptor Ernst Neizvestny. Bidstrup’s work, with his unique style and playful approach to form, inspired my search of new ways of expression through abstraction and symbolism. Ernst Neizvestny, with his deep philosophy and emotional power of the sculptures, demonstrated how art can speak about complex and important topics making the viewer to think about life and human existence.

In all my works, be it sculpture, graphics, or painting, I try to display the endless love for life in all its manifestations. I draw my themes from the works of Sigmund Freud, Ivan Barkov, Nietzsche, Seneca, Hippocrates, or just by looking around "I sing about what I see."
