Ana Smarz is a contemporary Polish artist. A graduate of the Faculty of Painting at Maria Curie-Skłodowska University in Lublin, Ana embarked on her professional career within the creative industry, contributing her talents to various companies. Following this initial chapter, she pursued further studies in Interior Design at the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow, marking a significant pivot in her artistic trajectory.
As Ana delved into the realm of interior design, her projects took on a distinctive character as she seamlessly integrated her own paintings and crafted polychromes into her designs. This transformative period served as a pivotal moment, leading Ana to make the bold decision to fully return to her roots in painting. Known for her love of challenges, Ana's artistic focus revolves around themes that not only present an artistic challenge but also provide an opportunity to express and evoke emotions.
Ana draws inspiration from a myriad of sources, including nature, the surrounding environment, her travels, as well as interactions with people and animals. Her artistic versatility is reflected in her use of various painting techniques, including oil, acrylic, and watercolor. Alongside her artistic endeavors, Ana has dedicated several years to teaching hand drawing and painting to students at the Faculty of Architecture in Lublin.
The reach of Ana's artistic impact extends beyond her studio, with her works finding homes in private collections across Poland, France, Germany, and Sweden. Her participation in Young Art Auctions in Poland further underscores the recognition and appreciation of her contributions to the contemporary art scene.
