Plusieurs volumes et essences de bois cohabitent, Padouk, érable et hêtre(toutes ont été glanées dans les réserves de l’école nationale de design industriel). Les états de la matière varient, depuis les masses tournées jusqu’aux fibres résiduelles qui révèlent (lorsqu’on se rapproche) leurs dimensions tactiles et olfactives. Lors de ce processus d’émergence...

Les états de la matière varient, depuis les masses tournées jusqu’aux fibres résiduelles qui révèlent (lorsqu’on se rapproche) leurs dimensions tactiles et olfactives.
Lors de ce processus d’émergence des éléments, la rotation du tour à bois est à l’origine d’une réflexion sur le temps. Un temps cyclique telle une boucle/loop infinie d’où naitraient des formes familières n’ayant pourtant jamais atteint leur fonction.

Born in 1990 in Normandy, Amentia Siard Brochard lives and works between Cherbourg and Paris. After graduating as an architect from the Ecole Nationale d'Architecture de Bretagne (2013), she spent a year at Berengo Studio in Venice. In 2015, she continued her studies at the Ecole Nationale Supérieure d'Art de la Villa Arson and at the Université du Québec à Montréal in visual and media arts. She obtained her DNSEP at Villa Arson in 2019, and received the Venet Foundation prize that same year. In 2021, she received exceptional support from the CNAP and the 'Traversées' scholarship to develop her film 'La grande pièce'. She has participated in the Parallèle Festival, the 'Relève IV' at La Galerie art-cade*, the 'Dans l'horizon' exhibition at Buropolis, Marseille, as well as 'L'échappée' at the Anatole Jacovsky International Museum of Naive Art in Nice. Her sculptures and videos have also been presented at the ZQM in Berlin, the ABK in Stuttgart (Germany) and the CAC Palma (Majorca). In 2023, she participated in the Création en Cours residencies at the Ateliers Medicis and Art & Mondes du travail Voyons Voir (PACA). Her work is the subject of an exhibition at the pole of contemporary cultures of 109 in Nice. At the end of 2023, she was invited by the OK Collective to the CAC de Ferme du Buisson in Noisiel, as well as more recently to the Point du Jour in Cherbourg as part of the 'Péninsulaires' exhibition.
