El día que murió el diablo



La iconografía es el lenguaje de los símbolos ,hay algunos símbolos o signos perturba dores para el gran publico como es el de la serpiente que se muerde la cola,la cual aparece en algunas pinturas del siglo XV.

Se dice que este símbolo tiene que ver con la inmortalidad y hay incluso quien lo asocia con la llamada rosca de reyes del día 6 de enero.



Quizá también con el mal que se aniquila así mismo,digo quizá por que esta es una interpretación que yo le doy,no se si también otros.

En fin el caso es que estas víboras formando la señal de la cruz,es un símbolo creado por mi,así es que merece una expoliación de de mi parte siendo esa la principal razón de este artículo,debo añadir que a sido motivo de varios insultos para mi por parte del publico,que seguramente reaccionan sin meditar un poco sobre la pintura,acostumbrados como esta a ver tanto "arte" intracendente.



El titulo de esta pintura es ,El día que murió el diablo,se lo puse para explicar la pintura en forma breve siendo además el origen y razón de ser de esta obra.

Pero bueno ya entrados en la narración voy a empezar desde el principio dibujando el entorno en el cual se dio la obra.



Andaba yo y unos amigos en el estado de Durango cerca ya de Chihuahua, buscando piedras preciosas,por que como ustedes saben yo soy aficionado a estas cosas,ya saben que disfruto mucho la búsqueda de gemas,así como el tallar las y luego hacer joyería con ellas,bien en eso andaba en ese lugar cuyo nombre no recuerdo ahora, no me acompañe de los otros amigos que me acompañaban y me fluí solo por un angosto sendero obedeciendo a mi instinto de cazador de gemas,no quise distraerme invitando a los otros que ya andaban cada uno por su lado muy ocupados.al poco caminar encontré un gran yacimiento de ópalo y unas víboras negras con ojos amarillos muy brillantes,una de ellas me veía fijamente sacando y metiendo rápidamente su fea lengua.



Ciertamente estos animales son impresionantes y repulsivos,con un fuerte aspecto satánico,seguramente a esto se debe que a través de los tiempos se les ha asociado con el mal y el mismo diablo.

No les hice caso y seguí con mi asunto de las piedras,como digo el yacimiento era enorme y había signos de que ya otros habían estado escarbando,pero el ópalo era del llamado por los Geólogos ópalo común,es decir del que no tiene juego de colores,lo interesante es que yo sabia que el ópalo común y el noble se dan de la misma manera y andan mezclados casi siempre.



No hacia confianza de las víboras desde luego volteaba frecuente mente al lugar donde las vi.Yo se por experiencia propia que la mayoría de los animales, por salvajes y agresivos que sean si pueden evitar un conflicto lo evitan,solo atacan, si se ven amenazados o por que tengan mucha hambre si es que son carnívoros.



Acabe de mal revisar el yacimiento,pero como empezaba ya a oscurecer,regrese por el mismo sendero y me reuní con mis amigos,subimos a la camioneta y regresamos a la casa,no me acuerdo ya si les platique algo o todo, acerca del asunto del yacimiento y las víboras.por cierto han pasado los años y no he vuelto a ese lugar,tal vez ya nunca lo haga,pues el guia ya estaba viejo y caminaba con mucha dificultad,tal vez ya murió o ya no puede caminar y no creo que yo solo pueda volver a encontrar ese lugar.



Días después mientras dibujaba.me pregunte a mi mismo,como seria el día en que muriera el diablo y en mi mente,vi en un relámpago a esas mismas víboras haciendo la señal de la cruz.

Por que?por que las víboras son el símbolo del mal,el símbolo del diablo.

Al morir el diablo las víboras se hacen buenas,as{i de simple es el asunto,de este cuadro.



Estos son los dibujos preparatorios para la pintura final,los cuales dibuje para apresar la idea,por que la inspiración si no se aprisiona en el momento huye.

Años después y ahora que escribo esto,recuerdo clara mente el momento lo dudé unos instantes seguramente por que me impacto la visión aquella,pero fui y tome un papel y lápiz y empecé a dibujar.



Ahora comprendo mejor ese momento,me hace recordar aquel otro en que le corte la cabeza al diablo.

Esta fue una decisión que tome seguramente cansado ya ante tanta podredumbre en las noticias de los llamados medios de comunicación.
