Werner employs a range of metal engraving techniques, including etching, aquatint, sugar aquatint, and photopolymer plates. Her work features large-format engravings on zinc or copper plates, producing vibrant color prints. Among her diverse methods, she has a particular affinity for sugar aquatint, which allows her to achieve effects reminiscent of painting.
