“Sanctuary” is a meditation on coexistence, reverence, and the fragile symphony that binds humanity and nature. The subject, calm yet resolute, is enveloped by a gathering of puffins—creatures of resilience and quiet endurance. Their presence is neither fearful nor subservient; they do not scatter, nor does she seek to control them. Instead, they exist in an unspoken unity, a reminder that true harmony with nature does not stem from dominion but from respect and kinship.

The puffins, with their striking black-and-white plumage and vibrant beaks, symbolize adaptation and survival in an era where climate change threatens the delicate balance of ecosystems. These birds, reliant on pristine waters and stable habitats, are harbingers of environmental shifts—their decline mirroring the health of the planet itself.
