Painting is dedicated frame (passe-partout: black velor and golden wooden frame) 98 x 98 cm.
Geometric abstraction is a continuation of “Golden Paintings” which are a record of my long-term search for true answers regarding the meaning and aim of our existence. By means of meditation and reliable, established methods I experience deeper understanding of phenomena occurring in the world. It is a process which makes it possible for an individual to independently rise above barriers restricting us in today’s world.
Square [Latin: quadrum]: “Square symbolizes the Absolute, the divine perfection, revelation, The Heavenly Jerusalem, the four elements of the world, the Universe, the Earth, the space, the four corners of the world, the four parts, uniformity, order, reliability, (…) knowledge, justice, neutrality, simplicity, persistence, honor, contentment.
Cities and public squares have often been built on a square plan. Square, according to the Pythagoreans, symbolizes stability (Rea, mother of gods, and four corners – Hera, Aphrodite, Demeter and Hestia).”
