I have completed so many copper plate etchings. These are just a handful of my work. I hope to get the larger pieces properly scanned and added to this site.
The technique of copperplate engraving was probably first used ca 1430 in upper Germany; after the woodcut it is the second oldest printmaking technique. At that time the copperplate engraving provided a relatively economical reproducing method. In the 15th century the copperplate was discovered as an autonomous means of expression. Martin Schongauer made the technique famous but it reached a first pinnacle in the work of Albrecht Dürer, who had learned copperplate engraving from Schongauer and later revolutionised it. In the 16th century the copperplate engraving process was rationalised and mass reproduction became possible. The heyday of the copperplate engraving was the Baroque period. Peter Paul Rubens employed numerous copperplate engravers to make graphic reproductions of his paintings. They were bound as catalogues and sent throughout Europe to advertise his workshop. Towards the close of the 18th century the copperplate engraving was replaced by the wood engraving, which represented a less expensive reproduction technique. Leading exponents of the copperplate engraving included:

I was fourteen years old by the time I had traveled the globe, and lived in Africa, Asia, Europe, and North America. These jaunts across the world were launched by my father, who can only be described as a modern day pirate and a bon vivant.
In 2006 I began to work on my breast cancer series which evolved from a series of events during my young life that would impact my art as an adult.
At the age of ten,I heard the profound and heartbreaking story that a top British model had undergone a double mastectomy. She was a family friend and my mother said to her girlfriend," Her boyfriend left her because he was so turned off by the scars." I never did learn what happened to that model after being abandoned but I can only imagine her implosion.
During that same period, for reasons I still don't full understand, I was drawing Amazons. I had heard that Amazons would loop off their left breast to become a better archer. Imagine that?
35 years later, I'm sitting in a lab sketching an amazon on her knees, arrows in her tight fist, her bow slung across her shoulders and her prominent scar where her breast would have been-- At that moment it hit me right between the eyes- Amazons! Breast Cancer! Warriors!!!
To be a breast cancer survivor transformed a woman into an Amazon. From that point on I never looked back. It became my raison D'etre. I drew these women rediscovering themselves and re-defining their intimate relationships with their lovers.
I've searched the net for erotic drawings of breast cancer survivors and their lovers- Not porn, just good easy on the eyes art, but nothing came up--not even porn art on the subject.
I searched for pillow books for breast cancer survivors and their lovers but again nothing. I realized that there was a need.
Back in 2013, I was honored to be invited to the USC Breast Cancer Symposium where three of the breast cancer series were displayed- During that same year, the Pasadena Weekly featured me as artist of the week. In August of the same year, Whole Person featured my work for their cover and featured interview.
out of the blue and after much meditations, I was given a stipend from the Hay House in 2013 to publish a pillow book for breast cancer survivors and their lovers, I titled it, Songs of Solomon: A Pillow Book for Breast Cancer Survivors & Their Lovers.
The stipend was not what Hay House usually funded. Allow me to share more detail, in a reply to my proposal, Shelly Anderson( Ms. Hays Assistant) said, we never donate to such projects but we hope that this check for $1,500 will assist you in birthing this very important project. It did.
I was honored to have Susan Winter write the forward, she is a NY Times Best selling author, of Oprah's pick-- Older Women, Younger Men. Ten of my pieces are archived in the Kinsey Institutes library for sex research.

CHAKRA ART which I call my ENFANT MAGIQUE (MAGICAL CHILD) process.
When I was a child of six my favorite book was the Little Prince, and my favorite pastime was to draw. I loved colors and drenched my work with bright hues which unbeknownst to me were very healing.
Decades later, I became a woman who found spiritual wisdoms around every corner, and reached for colors that appear in our dreams.
When I prepare to create work, I burn sage to cleanse the room and I smudge myself thoroughly. I listen to theta healing music and mix that with some Kirtan to add a mood to the work I am allowed to birth. Everything about my approach is to listen to the divine muse, to allow the co creation from the ethers to come pouring down through me and to draw out my inner kid, the one who did not think when she drew. That little kid who would force herself to laugh until she laughed so hard she was doubled over with joy rolling on the floor.
Art should make you grin, or run tingles up and down your spine, art should release the stress of your day as you lay your eyes upon it. Art is neither pretentious, nor unapproachable. Art is for the masses—Art is as necessary as bread and wine. It is a reflection of who you are, who I am, in that moment and then like a Kaleidoscope tilted to shift the geometric patterns we change, evolve, and grow.
Chakra art is about healing images, healing colors, about the balance and clearing of your chakras through a sweet, gentle awareness that within us something great resides.
A vibration of such powerful balance and beauty that in our imperfections we are at our most beautiful. Human, humane –
Optimistic that anything good is not only possible but approaching you with a smile.

Good art feels good , great art shakes your soul awake!
I have developed what I call, Enfant Magique which is work that comes from your inner child that was you when you were six. That same inner child that gave Antoine Saint Exupery the understanding of a child's inner workings to write The Little Prince.
That little person that never thought of rules, ran wild, laughed hard, and loved loved loved color because it made them feel so good and reflected their very spirit.
Enfant Magique( Magical child) brought me back to the purity of the work I loved creating as a child and colors were huge in my visual vocabulary. I did not know it then but these colors were calming me, healing my spirit, by bringing me joy.
I will be offering gorgeous organic cotton stretched canvas ready to hang on your wall. These archival prints will be enhanced by me with silver and gold ink as well as other touches to make each archival print glow and unique in every way.
These archival prints are by master printer Kerner from Stone River Archival in Woodstock, NY.
I hope that my collection of four pieces and growing will resonate with your heart.

Wiil you join me in spreading the word that now is the time to place our hearts and souls into the great work which is-- to heal ourselves, to heal our loved ones, and to heal the planet.

By placing a simple micro moment of time in mindful heart and soul stillness.
I am launching a kickstarted to raise funds to publish a coloring book of Buddhas in my own interpretation, Please see below.
My goal is to create black and white drawings for you to assist in co creating your magic by surrendering to the task of coloring the lines with your hand, These seemingly simple tasks can and do create a vibration of inner stillness and peace.
Seemingly the most benign acts can and do impact the collective. Think about the butterfly flutter who can create a tornado.
We have never needed more healing and have never been more aware as a people of that need- We are both the most blessed generation and the most damned because of that collective awakening.
I truly believe that adults are using coloring books as a form of meditation, healing, and silencing the chatter of the monkey mind.
