Josu Goenaga artista de Ibarra ( Pais Vasco ), con el taller en Tolosa. Ha estado unido a las artes plasticas desde muy temprana edad, primeramente con el dibujo y la pintura para despues iniciarse en el camino de la escultura, senda que no abandona. Autodidacta de formacion, trabaja principalmente hierro, piedra y madera, investigando las particularidades y caracteristicas de cada elemento, logrando un dominio sobre ellos, que le permite la utilicacion simultanea de ellos en una sola obra. Cuidadoso con los acabados y texturas, sus trabajos reflejan el respeto y la admiracion que profesa a estos materiales. Con influencia de los grandes escultores vascos, principalmente de Chillida, recogiendo de este la sobriedad de las lineas y el equilibrio de la composicion.
